Job Goal
To develop, oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the human resources department, including staffing, hiring, counseling, policy administration, training, and record keeping for all certified and classified staff. Provide administrative oversight for other assigned district programs and organizations.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree (preference for Human Resources)
- Experience in the field of Education and experience in the realm of Human Resources preferred.
- Ability to develop and or modernize departmental programs to create better efficiencies and reliability.
- Ability to market KUSD to recruit and hire key positions district wide.
- Ability to effectively supervise any assigned KUSD support organizations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, school leadership and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work with and learn multiple software applications as they pertain to staffing, evaluations, benefits and state reporting.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with parents, staff and the general public.
- Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communications.
- Ability to work in conjunction with the Finance Department to insure staffing is in compliance with federal and state grant funding.
- Satisfactory criminal background check.
