Summary/Objective
To plan, direct and perform clerical duties in the operation of a high school student accounts office, adhering to school policies and cash handling procedures.
Essential Functions

- General knowledge of student information systems
- Responds to all internal and external customers, as it relates to the position, in a prompt, efficient, friendly, and patient manner
- Plans, supervises and directs all bookstore activities and student activity deposits
- Assumes responsibility for receiving, identifying, issuing, collecting and taking inventory of all textbooks and supplies
- Keeps accurate records and ledgers and is responsible for all receipts including preparing a variety of reports
- Inputs and updates a variety of information into the computer
- Monitors handling of monies from extracurricular and student activities and fund-raising projects for all schools including preparing and depositing cash deposits
- Balances cash register
- Prepares a variety of reports
- Requisitions, receives, stocks/stores, sells and accounts for all bookstore supplies; checks purchase orders and invoices; handles and accounts for the sales of such items as yearbooks, caps and gowns, rings and game and other activity tickets
- Prepares cash boxes for use at extracurricular events and athletics
- Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations, and rules
- Performs related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
At-Will Notice of Employment does not provide a guarantee of a particular schedule of work or a minimum number of days or hours.
This is an 11-month, 40-hour per week position. This position is eligible for medical benefits. The employee will work ten hours per day Monday through Thursday during core business hours. Extended work hours to meet deadlines may occasionally be required.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Satisfactory criminal background check
Preferred Education and Experience
Two or more years’ experience handling financial transactions.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety. |
